Dear Daniel Pipes,

It appears your boat trip pas encountered a Political Hurricane Florence. I empathize with you as my family also hails from Europe (Poland) as a consequence of the Holocaust, and I was also born after WWII (Chomutov, Czechoslovakia).

First, take a deep breath, and look at the good news - how much Hitler is despised in Germany and Austria.

After that, think how your self-styled description of Conservatism can only be translated as a Right-Winger. That's probably because there is no Third Way in the Germanic part of the European Union. You remind me of John Brown in 1859 when he opposed Slavery, and was executed for it when his raid failed ... a year later our Civil War broke out. Instead of labeling yourself a "Conservative," I recommend your call yourself a Returnee to the "Enlightenment" - a term preceding the French Revolution, and which might not offend Austrians or Prussians.

Is the Muslim population in Germany over 1 Million? Are your journalistic liberal critics afraid your likely to stir the hornet's nest? ...
