Attention Prashant: The genuis Abul Qasim!Reader comment on item: German and Austrian Media Outrage Me Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Sep 30, 2018 at 11:06 Here is another gem from the Qur'an and it is Surat al-Baqara 178 where Muhammad tries to emulate the Jews and their "an eye for an eye" and he comes up with this disaster: In case of murder the punishment is: الحر بالحر والعبد بالعبد والانثى بالانثى This can be rendered as: The free for the free and the slave for the slave and the female for the female! This means that if a man kills the wife of another man he is not the one to be punished. It is his wife that will be killed! Absolute insanity But wait when the Jews and the pagans of Mecca made fun of Muhammad and his Allah and told him that this is not "an eye for an eye"! Allah comes to the rescue and abrogates this verse (which is still in the Qur'an) and tells Muhammad that it is now النفس بالنفس in Surat al-Ma'eda 45! Or the soul for the soul! So Allah fixes this disaster! Here is Ibn kathir's tafsir of this disaster http://quran.ksu.edu.sa/tafseer/katheer/sura2-aya178.html The question is: How do you reform Islam when some Indian or Pakistani Muslim who cannot read Arabic and therefore cannot read Ibn kathir says that a man should kill the wife of the man who killed his wife and he quotes the Qur'an! But again plagiarists are their own worst enemies! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
