TrustReader comment on item: Anticipating Trump's "Deal of the Century" Submitted by Nicholas Varias (Canada), Apr 10, 2019 at 08:04 Any peace plan must first consider if the Palestinians and Israel's Arab neighbours could be trusted. My answer is NO, because their populations are controlled by the Islamic ideology of hatred against non-Muslims. Any concession from Israel would be perceived as a sign of Jewish weakness, which would in fact reward them for the decades of rejection of the Jewish state, and would only feed their determination to destroy it. Therefore, true peace could not be possible without a major reform of Islam, of its exclusivist education and propaganda, which is very unlikely in the foreseeable future. I believe this shall be the number one Israeli condition, as a prerequisite for making peace, and should include a time table for verifiable concrete measures the Palestinians would need to take (i.e. cleaning up their text books).
