Anyone who has followed the Israeli-Palestinian relations can't believe that a normal treaty would ever last more than a few months. Caesar's mentality is needed here. Only after total defeat by the IDF could a treaty be written and imposed on the Palestinians and Hamas. The habitual extremists must be eliminated and the co-operators rewarded. Then fair terms can be provided to give the Palestinians a better life and religionists and other extremists kept out through tough laws.
