Read "The Palestinian Delusion" by Robert Spencer to understandReader comment on item: Israeli Arabs Say No to Palestine Submitted by Dave (United States), Feb 4, 2020 at 20:23 In his new book, Robert Spencer details the history of the Palestinian issue. He explains how Zionist investment in the Ottoman region of Palestine starting in the late nineteenth century drew in thousands of Arab migrants looking for opportunity. When the British took control, they were supposed to limit Arab immigration so that the Jews could build a state in accordance with the Balfour Declaration and international law, but they did the opposite in reaction to Arab violence: They limited Jewish immigration instead and encouraged Arab attacks on Jews, hoping to squelch the inconvenient Zionist enterprise entirely. In this history we see the contradictions between Muslim immigration and life-style preferences versus Muslim attitudes: On the one hand, they take advantage of the economic opportunities, rights and comforts provided by Western civilization, and on the other, they despise that same civilization with all of the arrogance and violent contempt inherent in Islamic supremacism. And even now, this same phenomenon is being replicated in Europe as it was in old Palestine as Muslims stream in there for similar reasons. I'm not qualified to tell Israel what to do with those Galilee ingrates, but there are certainly some valuable cautionary lessons to be learned.
