Dr. Pipes,

Is unilateral annexation of parts of the West Bank a step towards Israel Victory or a questionable policy that ignores the need for victory?

Good question. I oppose it because it will not be taken for the right reason (which is to show the Palestinians they have lost), because it makes another 50,000 or so Palestinians eligible for Israeli citizenship, and because it outrages much of the world, and therefore strengthens Palestinian resolve, for little gain.
