One must not forget that the Arab party they vote for wants autonomy from Israel!Reader comment on item: Israeli Arabs Say No to Palestine Submitted by Anon (Israel), Feb 5, 2020 at 12:58 In other words, they do not want to be under Israeli sovereignty. They do not want Israeli laws to apply to them. However, they will hardly rejoice at a plan that makes Israel stronger and keeps Israel sovereign over the so-called "occupied territories". Israel can - if and when it's time to redraw the borders - offer that a quiet acceptance of the proposed border changes will mean that these former Israeli citizens will continue to receive social security for 25 years, whereas if they try to stand in the way of redrawing the borders, then they will receive no social security payments at all once they're stripped of their Israeli citizenship. As an Israeli, I don't mind if Israel keeps the 'triangle'. Their presence in Israel doesn't bother me at all. But if the P.A or new Palestinian state would demand extra land, then Israel can always suggest redrawing the borders and withdrawing sovereignty from the 'triangle'. Israel can even do so unilaterally if there's a reason to do so. The residents of the triangle will find it difficult to protest against Israel. Saying "Israel is racist and we demand that our land and us will be under this state's sovereignty" will not play well on the international stage.
