Muslims want to live in Israel. Are their intentions honest?Reader comment on item: Israeli Arabs Say No to Palestine Submitted by Prashant (United States), Apr 11, 2022 at 14:47 Dear Dr. Pipes, Regarding your blog about redrawing the boundaries of the Triangle in Israel, forgive me for being cynical but I do not think that we should read a lot in the preference of Muslim citizens of Israel to live in Israel instead of Islamic (so-called) Palestine. Muslims know very well that Islam has failed as a system of governance. All theocracies are dangerous but Islamic theocracies are a direct path to misery. It is not a surprise that Muslims like to live in non-Islamic lands. It is only in non-Islamic nations that Muslims thrive. But it does not mean that Muslims will accept that the Islamic method of governance is bad or Islam itself needs to change. Muslims love the freedom and democracy found in non-Islamic nations without admitting that Islam destroys exactly what is good in non-Islamic nations. There is another reason why Muslims do not want to leave any non-Muslim part of the world and migrate to Islam-occupied lands. Islamic politicians very well know that freedom and democracy found in non-Islamic nations create the best circumstances for them to expand Islam: with higher birth rate, laws against apostasy, persistent Islamic petulance, extremely selfish Islamic laws about interfaith marriages, and the support of knee-jerk liberals, Muslims will always be able to increase their percentage share in the population. So, they want to stay put in the non-Islamic nations and keep exploiting the freedom for their personal gains. This is not to say that -as you have observed several times- the numbers of ex-Muslims and moderate Muslims are not increasing. Ex-Muslims and moderate Muslims are truly a challenge to Islam and the best hope for non-muslim people. The peaceful resistance to fundamentalist Islam must continue until Islam becomes a modern religion.
