Thanks, AV, for the most beautiful letter

Dear Dr Pipes, I want to thank reader AV for the above letter to you. AV presented the a beautiful modern view of religions when they said, "In addition to Israel, together with Christians and Muslims, honoring the monotheistic God, everyone is welcome. The Buddhist honoring the transcendent Nirvana. The Hindu honoring the Brahman. The scientist dignifying the effort to discover the Unknown. All come to honor the aspect of the Infinite One that is beyond all images."

For peace and prosperity of humanity it is vital that we adopt a syncretic view of the religions. In the modern times religions must amalgamate. We cannot now stay in our villages and follow our religions in isolation. Like it or not, people - - belonging to different religions-- will marry each other. And, when we do, instead of launching a war against our partners so they convert, our pledge must be to protect our partner's religion and that of our own.

The above is and should be the way of the future. There is no room for Islam-like stubbornness in religions where innocent people are declared sinners and worthy of hell at the drop of a hat. The morning for Muslims to smell some coffee has arrived.

I hope some day I get a chance to visit Jerusalem and pray at Temple Mount. I can say it because so much I like about Israel. Thanks to AV again for their beautiful letter. AV showed that they have a very open mind. And we need open minds.
