Cautionary Tale of Misunderstanding Religious FervorReader comment on item: The Need for a Focus on Western Islamism Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Feb 2, 2022 at 14:39 In this burgeoning age of defending against religious animus we find the battle of the ages (indeed, going back to the Middle Ages and beyond) inspired and fired by humanities under constant assault by the inhumanities conducted by religiously inspired precepts claiming superiority of deified adaptations of ancient condemnations that have taken uncounted tolling of lives, there is appearing a certain sense of a loss of standing of the morality necessary to stop the evil; but why? As is contended in many forums and with sufficient incontrovertible evidence in the highest places of institutional educational processes, Islam has been and remains an ever increasing force to be reckoned with; and even in the attempts to focus on a moderated form of its practice, its original introduction and implementation does not diminish and it appears in certain respects, to be formidable even as its source of power is indeterminable for the lack of modern instruction as to that source.
