Moses, Jesus, & MuhammadReader comment on item: The Need for a Focus on Western Islamism Submitted by Ludvikus (United States), Feb 6, 2022 at 12:53 A bird's eye view of your issue might be helpful here I think. What is called the West in this article as it relates to Religion may be viewed as a Pagan past with a long history over Millennia, at the core of which are a minor people who's history goes back to a mythological past, if one takes a secular view of history, as opposed to a religious view. These Jewish People play a relatively minor role until the emergence of the Roman Empire which subsequently surrounds the Mediterranean "Lake" until the seminal event of Constantine's conversion to Christianity. Jews and Judaism played a relatively insignificant role in the Roman Empire - it was merely another Ancient Religion which Rome recognized, with Jehovah as the God honored in the City of Jerusalem, a practice inherited from the previous Hellenic Greek City-States and Hellenistic Empire of Alexander the Great. But among the Jews emerged a Jewish Prophet who no longer was subsequently recognized as merely preaching and prophesying to the Jews only; rather, his preach was to all the People of the Whole World, and from every social status, from Slaves to Emperors, on an equal basis. This Jewish Sect began as a Jewish Cult which evolved into the Religion of the Roman Empire, and it was a religion of Peace in Principle, as this Profit Jesus was non-violent, and even accepted his own Execution and Death. But for various complex historical reasons, the Roman Empire split-in-two over the course of roughly 500 years. During this time a new (allegedly non-Jewish) Prophet emerged, by the name of Muhammad, in the Saudi cities of Mecca and Medina, on the fringes of empires, including the Roman. This Profit heard voices in a cave that essential resulted in a "Revised Edition" of the Scriptures of Jews and Christians. Christianity essential took the Old Testament of the Jews and added to it its New Testament, the 4 Gospels about the Life and Death of Jesus. However, the new text inspired by Prophet Muhammad - now known to us as the Koran, was essentially, in Bibliographic Terms, a completely New and Revised Religion. It is important to recognize here a Hegelian-like Dialectic at play; whereas the Prophets of the Jews, before and after Jesus, experienced Violence and War, followed by the Peace by a nd through the Love of Jesus, the Muslim followers of Muhammad, experienced the Grandeur of Submission through the Sword (or Wars of Conquest) by Prophet Muhammad. What is called now the West is the Christian Dominant Part of the Western Roman Empire. However, this "great empire" which evolved into the European Union, with NATO as its Transatlantic defensive alliance, has experienced a Protestant Reformation whereby Church and State had all ready Separated some 500 years ago. However, as a result of Western Colonialism and Imperialism, a wave of failed Muslim majority Immigrants (or reverse Colonialists) have "flooded" this Western Europe. This Western Europe is now confronted by Reality. Although it had institutionalized the separation of Church and State, we need to be reminded that this merely meant Diverse CHRISTIAN CHURCHES. In the previous 20th century, it did not include, in the West, the Synagogue of the Jews. In fact, "it" [had] "solved" the "Jewish Question," more accurately known as the "Jewish Problem," in two separate but related stages: (1) 1917-1945 the creation of the Jewish State of Israel (not yet completely "solved"), and the simultaneous (1933-1945) HOLOCAUST. The problem you encounter in this context is what is commonly known as "Tunnel Vision." The issue is the Question or Problem of how the Jews, Christians, and Muslims, the so-called Abrahamic People, are to live together. Unfortunately, only the Believers themselves can conform their respective Religions to the modern world. In that regard, Jews and Christians cannot tells Muslims what they are to Believe. Unfortunately also, the only way to defeat such Terrorists, who view themselves as Jihadists and Martyrs when they die in a Holy War, is by Defeating them in Battle. That is the case regarding ISIS in Iraq and Syria. What will now happen to the "Victorious" Taliban in Afghanistan is also an open question - no one in the world has yet recognized the Taliban regime in Afghanistan as legitimate. How many Afghans, Men, Women, and Children, will have to starve or freeze to death before these people realize that worrying how a woman dresses or undresses will not put food on the table or bring warmth to the home. And this specifically has implications for those lucky Muslims who have reached the shores of "Infidel" Europe. How many more "Muslims" (I know, benevolently, others call them "Islamists") will commit suicide in Western Europe while murdering innocent Western European "Infidels" before a Muslim Reformation takes root in the world. Unfortunately, this is not really a mere Western European and North American or Australian & New Zealand issue; it is a World Wide issue.
