Arafat himself admitted in Arabic it's a Trojan horse. Even then he couldn't come to terms.

In the end, it's a bantustan. May as well be on terms dictated by Israel hopefully with US approval. No lover of Trump but his teams idea was as good as it gets. aka Rabin's less than a state, vs destruction of Israel (Hamas takeover, missiles and all.). Better a small bantustan than a big one. In any case we all know that the Palestinians will never settle for anything less than the river to the sea.
