Excellence v. Superiority & the Need for Neo-Colonialsm in Africa and Muslim AsiaReader comment on item: Denmark Leads the West to Immigration Sanity Submitted by Robert (United States), Oct 29, 2022 at 14:28 Congratulations on another excellent informative article, Dr. Daniel Pipes. I wish to raise several issue regarding the need for Western European Civilization parties to prevail (hopefully). (1) First of all, Slavery is an unfortunate phenomena that's an essential part of human history which did not begin to end until the early 19th century when the British commenced the Industrial Revolution which Slavery unprofitable. I hop I will not alienated anti-Marxist readers by this simple and obvious fact. (2) At the same time, more or less, a slightly less painful phenomena, and not widely acknowledged, was also coming to a conclusion, name Serfdom; unlike slaves, European serfs could not be sold as chattel. Russians, or Russian Empire subjects, for example, were the last serfs to be emancipated. (3) Thereafter, a new phenomena emerged, also in Europe, and about the same time, namely Racism, a quasi-scientific view that human fall into Races, and some are inferior. The tragedy of this phenomena was that it not only infected the Racist, but also corrupted the minds of the subject of Racism, namely the Victim. (4) But it took World War II, and Hitler, with Nazi Third Reich exterminating Roma (Gypsies), Jews, and Slavs (5) I do not find the concept of a Paradigm Shift as useful and the Hegelian-Marxist notion of Contradiction and Dialectics as explanatory schemes. Maybe "Nothing to Extreme" or the Golden Mean of the Ancient Greeks may do as well. The fact is that it is the Mediterranean "Lake" and its surrounding lands with produced the Modern World where the Greeks, Romans, the Renaissance Italians, and the subsequent French Enlightenment, as well as the Industrial Revolution in Britain, Western Europe and the United States, gave the world what is Excellent but cannot be called Superior because this latter term connotes Inferior and this term has been confiscated by Racism and Racists. (6) Now as to a possible solution to this World with Global Warming and Failed States. Perhaps we need to re-examine Neocolonialism in which Western Europeans invest and develop industry and economies in all the lands where immigrants come from to seek life in the West. Capitalist Western Europe, particularly, with its Socialist parties, can compete with Communist China to improve life in African and Muslim West Asia with the aim of making life suitable so that immigration becomes not deeded or not necessary. Ironically, it is now China and Russia which exploit the natives and make their lives at home less bearable. The root cause of immigration, in other words, must be addressed. One cause, of course, is Global Warming. Perhaps that will be partially solved when Western Europe abandons Russian Gas for Green and Sustainable Energy. But another way to go forward is to outsmart China in investing in the Third World in a combined Socialist-Capitalist was in view of making Immigration out of these "less civilized" countries. In brief, this requires "social engineering." But also finding more effective ways to eliminate corrupt, authoritarian, and totalitarian regimes that lead to vast waves of immigration out of the home country. The most obvious countries today are Syria, Iran, and Russia. Why are these countries "bleeding out" their own citizens? So any country which gives refuge to these immigrants or refugees has an obvious interest to address the invents from which these humans flee. I recommend that there be more pro-active activity to make it possible for these misplaced settlers return to their home county. In the case of Iran is a demand for Regime Change an appropriate remedy? (7) Why not begin by helping exiled Iranian dissidents create a Secular Constitution outside Iran to replace the current Islamic Republic of Iran? Perhaps, for example, the President of the United States can issue an Executive Order and Funding for a Congress of exiled Iranians the world over to Draft such a Constitution for Iran? Submitting....
