Ariel SharonReader comment on item: Ariel Sharon, Escapist Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Nov 28, 2005 at 20:18 It would be sad to see Ariel Sharon fall from grace. He's been a good leader and a good ally. Israel has many in government who are are extraordinarily qualified leaders. But, because of Sharon's charisma (well sometimes charisma is not his strong point) and forthright leadership, I would prefer to see him stay in power longer.I am also a fan of Netanyahu who did not want the settlements removed from the Gaza. I think he was correct. But the fence seems to be working and the terrorism seems to have been reduced. I hope it continues but with the lunacy in the Middle East who is to know. I am still nervous about the removal and do not trust any nation in the Middle East but one .... Israel. As a matter fact we have only two allies in the world Great Britain and Israel and that's it.
