MY MUSLIM BROTHERS SHOULD OPEN THEIR EYES

Even being an Asian and a Muslim myself, I fully agree with Despott on his view regarding the refugees who take all the advantages from a westeren society, then hate and preach hatred against them.

I myself have lived in the UK for three years, studied there and, as a Muslim woman, enjoyed freedom that my own society could not give me. During my stay in London, I used to come back home from library at midnight, no body bothered me. But in my own country, I was never allowed to go out after sunset without being accompanied by one of the male family members. The people on the street, shopkeepers at markets, even police would tease, humiliate, assault, and rape a woman if they find her alone.

I have attended two training programmes, one in a Muslim country, the other in USA, where I was bothered by fellow participants who were Muslims, not Christians. I remember a fellow participant from a Middle Eastern country asked me not to mix or talk with any Christians and said I should always be with the Muslim men. These 'Muslim brothers' of mine used to make phone calls to me at night, knocked at my door at midnight, tried to kiss me and so on. In USA, another aged man, who was from my own country, tried to enter my bedroom forcefully. So this is the picture. They will to put a veil on a woman of their own religion in public and will jump on her in private. This is how they 'respect' women. And fools are those Muslim women who support this.

I think the Muslims should try to be tolerant and learn to respect others' views and freedom of speech and action. If you have the right to preach your faith, or speak in favour of your religion, you should allow others to speak whatever they felt, even if it is against your faith.

My Muslim brothers and sisters, now its time for you to open your eyes.
