How shall I begin..?

I am a palestinean muslim american WOMAN living in the states. My father grew up in Lebanon and was there with the war with Israel 20 years ago.. My mother grew up in Syria. Both sides are refugees from Israel. I grew up in the U.S. and some time in the middle east, and having the history that I do from above, I probably know more about politics and religion more than anyone here on this forum.

My first comment to you is about the quote you got from the Qua'rn :

"Your women are tilth for you to cultivate so go to your tilth as ye wish".-Koran 2:223

Did you not see the footnote on the bottom of the page, if not, allow me quote:

"have sexual relations with your wives in any manner as long as it is in the vagina and not in the anus."

and as I see you haven't completed the rest of that sentence it says:

"when or how you will and send (ask for Allah (God) to bestow upon you pious offspring) for the ownselves beforehand."

In all this quote is talking about sex and having children. Not beatings and wrong treatment of women. This is an example to wrong intrepretation.

As for your other quote:

"Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Gods religion reigns supreme. But if they desist, fight now more except the evil-doers."- Koran 2:193

Again you didn't finish the rest of the sentence:

"But if they cease, let there be no trangression except aganist Az- Zalmun (wrong-doers)"

In all, if non- muslims fight aganist you, then fight till there is no more of their religion (or when you win) but don't fight if they don't fight, or if they stop their attacks. again you are misinterperating the Qua'rn.

Shall I go on with the other quotes you took for the Qua'rn?

"I shall be with you. Give courage to the believers. I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers". . .- Koran 8:12

This quote is talking about the Battle of Badr. This happened when Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was still alive, when people were coming to kill all these new muslim including the Prophet, himself. This was God's words to give the Muslims courage for they were very few and thousands were coming to kill them.

But you probably interpreted this quote that Muslims are allowed to kill non- muslims and that God will be on their side, is that what you thought? Well again you had to read the whole Surah, and the footnotes including the history, or you WILL interpert this wrongly.

But guess what? Your interpretation was incorrect. this was talking about a battle that happened many years ago in the time of Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him). This has nothing to do with presently. There are muslims who read these quotes to and thought exactly like you do, and these are those terrorists you talk about. They interpreted the Qua'rn wrongly, as you have now.

I wish you go now BACK to the Qua'rn and reread all these quotes and find out the real interperation. The Qua'rn isn't about violence. All the talk about violence is the days of the Prophet when they were killing the muslims, and muslims were losing hope.

Again, it has nothing to do with present day.

I am a palestinean. I do not support Hamas. Neither does my family, my mosque, or the huge muslim community in my area. Where I live, we have many muslim refugees from Israel. Again these thousands, are not supporters of Hamas even though they are palestineans.

Please do not be misinfomed from the news. And my other advice, read between the lines and look at eveyrthing as a whole. That advice will help you with everything you do for the rest of your life.

And as the bible, many read it and get a much different intreperation than the other christians. Why? Cause they didnt actually look between the lines, and read the entire thing. Example, the da vinci code? Here they say Jesus had a wife while most chrisitans say thats not true. Thats two different interperations.

Islam is peaceful. Only in my religion does it say that you fight ONLY when someone is trying to kill you and your family.

Al Qayeda is terrorism. Hamas is terrorism.

And don't ever say, I am only one muslim that is peaceful. Believe me, most are.

I have recently come back from the Middle East, I talked to many about their feelings of Hamas and 9/11. Lets just say, only 3 people told me they supported one or the other, or both. THREE people. I talked to hundreds. I went to several different mosques and listened to the Sheiks speak, nothing was about fighting, bad treatment to women, nothing. But actually there was talk of anti- terrorisim. What do you say about that?

This is why the people say" it tooks only one person to do everything." Groups of muslim terrorists were able to give Islam the bad name terrorisim, that all muslims want to kill Americans and Israelis. And now you are giving that name too, for those who read your quote yet do not know any better about the Qua'rn.

And my god, soo many muslims can't speak a word of what they think about 9/11 yet only the terrorists can.

Muslims all over the world are anti terrorisim and they are peaceful.
