Muslims

Dr. Pipes,

I am beginning to think that Muslims, not Islamists, is the term that should be used. Why can't we call them Muslims? Why Islamists and not Muslims? What is the difference between the two? Can't we say Muslim terrorists? Followers of Islam, aren't they Muslims?

It is just beginning to sound really funny using the term Islamist, it's like a new baby invention that nobody knows or confuses people. When one uses Islamist, one thinks of, more than anything, followers of Islam, which is what Muslim stands for. To those who are violent, call them Muslim terrorists, or Muslim violence for violence due to Islamic belief. Islamists for Muslim violence, why do we have to invent that?

You know from really honest observation, it just sounds strange and funny now whenever you use the word Islamists in your articles. Honest feedback. My previous choice was Islamist. I have changed my mind, I choose Muslims now. Really, it's just beginning to sound strange using the word Islamists.
