Mr Pipes,

In one or your postings you claim "I approach the religion of Islam in a neutral fashion, neither praising it nor attacking it but in a spirit of inquiry. Neither apologist nor booster, neither spokesman nor critic,".

"In short, I am not an Islamophobe."

Yet you post the racist ravings of this lunatic in "Moshe Sharon Explains Middle Eastern Realities". They can only be described as Islamophobia.

Well which is it? Are you or aren't you an Islamophobe? I say you are. ...

One can pick here and there from my writings on Islam to prove this or that. For a contrary blog that worries about a too extreme attitude toward Muslims, see "What Security Measures vis-à-vis Western Muslims?"

Two points are consistent: (1) I believe the Muslim world is in the worst condition of its 1400-year existence and (2) I endorse a free-ranging discussion of the causes, symptoms, and solutions to this problem. In that spirit, I welcome Sharon's knowledgeable comments, even though I partially disagree with them.
