Vijay is absolutely correctReader comment on item: President Bush Replies to My Iraq Critique Submitted by gary (United States), Oct 28, 2006 at 16:33 We must form a colaition with the the Baathists and help them stem the tide of apocalyptic Shiism. But as I said in my last post, we must then be willing to deal with Iran as soon as possible, before it is too late. As we found out in 1939 with Germany, failing to deal with emerging threats when they are manageable will lead to a much bigger diaster later. In effect, we must chose sides in the IRaqi civil war, and the obvious choice is to chose the sides of the Sunnis to establish and stable Iraq, and to deal with Iran, once and for all. We can't sweep Iran under the rug any longer. Forget Democracy in Iraq; it was a pipe dream to begin with and it will never happen....a moderate baathist is the best solution.
