At the command of SaudiaReader comment on item: President Bush Replies to My Iraq Critique Submitted by Yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), Dec 23, 2006 at 14:33 The only reason America went to war in Iraq is to protect the Saud family from the designs of Saddam Hussain. That despite the fact that Saudi money was and still is the main fuel for the 911 attack upon the USA. The wish to install a friendly democratic government in what is essentially a non-viable conglomerate of three distinct warring tribes was a folly, correctly pointed out by Dr Pipes. But the Saudis miscalculated, thinking America will do the job for them. Now the price: Iran will have Atomics to threaten the Saudis with, and take over the gulf, entirely. The only good outcome of the Iraq debacle will come when Iraq serves .... (post incomplete)
