Purely ignorant.

I honestly can't believe how ignorant people here are. They go on and on about how America is "Free" and that the muslims hate Freedom and all that. But then, these same ignorant people, proceed to say how all immigrants should be rounded up and sent back to their countries, and how these people hate America. Is that not Hatred in itself? Some of it was directed at Mexicans, as if somehow, spanish speaking people are a problem, even though America is built on immigration.

Well, anyway, tell me, have you ever thought perhaps these people left those countries and came to the US for reasons other than violence? Oh, of course not, they're muslims, they MUST be evil. Maybe in the middle east, there are people having the same discussion now, about how America is Evil, and these people will have just as uneducated views of the west as Westerners have of them. There are peaceful Muslim nations out there, check out the UAE, the only difference is, you don't hear about the UAE on the news because nothing happens there. I mean, nobody would watch the news if it reported about how nothing happened today in country X. So when watching the news, remember that extremists are news worthy, moderates are not.

Perhaps if there were another international station in the Middle East, (apart from Al-jazeera, which is actually relatively unbiased as compare to FOX and the like, as I have watched them myself), that showed the latest news in America, they would probably put on some extremist KKK member, because that's what people will watch, and then the people will think that that's what all America acts like. Now, naturally, there is significantly moe violence and hate in the Mid-East than in America, I'm just making an example.

And war is not the answer, unless you intend to eradicate every last Muslim, kind of like the Nazis planned to. Because, you see, many people in the Mid-East are uneducated, they don't have the benefit of living in a country like America, many don't have much access to the news. They get much of what they know from their Imam, much like the peasants from their priests in the feudal days. Now, its much easier to take advantage of people when you're their only connection to the outside world. Now the problem is that 9-11 was basically a recruitment strategy developed by Bin-Laden and co.

How does it work? Well, since, as I said, many regular people in the Mid-East are uneducated, a radical Imam can preach about how America is Evil and all that, but, not everyone agrees or cares, they just want to live their lives. But then, Bin-Laden attacks America, knowing exactly how America will respond: War. Now all that radical preaching comes into play, as Muslims are killed, not on purpose mind you, and homes are destroyed, again not intentionally, but it happens regardless, many of these people, who don't have the education or the media sources to find out why America is attacking, merely see their friends dying and their homes being destroyed, and now begin to agree with the extremists' hatred of America.

The real way to defeat terrorism and radical Islam is to find a way to educate the people in these countries so that they see their Evil Leaders as the threat, not the West. Otherwise, every time America strikes, Muslims will be angered, and strike back, which will anger Americans, who will strike back harder, which will in turn anger more Muslims etc. Eventually, as some people here would probably say, eventually America would use Nuclear weapons, and show that it is not the freedom loving democracy it claims to be, and in fact, a fascist state, though not internally, but foreign policy wise, which forces its will on dissenting nations, rather than finding the root of the problem and solving it. Don't aid the terrorists by antagonizing yourselves by claiming every Muslim is Evil, because if statements like that made their way to Muslims, America would look just as bad in their eyes.

Secondly, WWII would have been won by the Allies eventually with or without the USA.
Hitler gave up trying to invade Britain after the Battle of Britain - before American involvement, and the Russians slowly began their offensive while the Allies were still in Africa, waiting to invade Italy. Ultimately, without the US, North Africa would've taken longer to win, and D-Day would've taken place later, but Russia would still have prevailed, and eventually the UK, Canada and other contributing allied nations would still have developed the Atom bomb. Again, much later, but all the same, the Bomb would ultimately end the war and force Germany's capitulation. Now America was incredibly helpful in winning the war, and I'm not trying to downplay America's massive contribution, but remember, with or without US, the Allies would have won.

And also, I find it funny that Americans insult the French for their surrender in WWII, while they also make fun of the Poles for resisting with no chance of success. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.
Also remember: America would still be a British Colony without France.
