YES, IT IS ..Reader comment on item: An Unveiling: Separate, but Acceptable? Submitted by DONVAN (United States), Aug 3, 2007 at 16:41 political. The logic goes like this: Islam is, by definition, a political ideology. Moslems embrace Islam as an ideological belief system of choice. When one sees a woman wearing this garb, the assumption is made that she is, in fact , Moslem. Since Moselm=Islam and Islam=political and only Moslem women wear the hajib, hijib= political Islam. Simple logic. I would also correct the statement that ....."Hijib is not a political agenda" . An " Agenda" refers to a plan or objectives toward a plan, obviously an article of clothing cannot be an "Agenda". However the fact that you connected the two indicates a "Freudian slip" meaning that you do ,in fact believe that the wearing of unique and inappropriate clothing is pursuant to a political agenda. This indicates that you are not quite comfortable in your hijab, and you realize that it adds nothing to you as a person, only as an advocate for political Islam. Perhaps a nice red hat......
