Ahmadiyya okReader comment on item: Permit Muslim-only Enclaves? Submitted by Archimedes2 (Canada), Oct 8, 2007 at 16:15 If these folks are truly 100% Ahmadiyya then at least one can say that they are not bent on violence. Although it would be nice if they could build their enclaves in the Islamic world somewhere, the fact is that the Ahmadiyya are universally scorned or outright persecuted to death there. Their creed is peaceful and they work very hard against the violent jihadists. In a purely technical sense they are islamists, as they are born out of a Mahdist movement, but somehow have evolved into a pluralistic and tolerant version of Islam -- for which they are reviled throughout Dar al Islam. I'd say they deserve a place of peace here (though not an exclusive enclave); and some protection from the wider muslim community, which means them harm. Pipes is always saying that radical islam is the problem and that moderate muslims are the solution. The Ahmadiyya come the closest to this ideal of any muslim group of which I know.
