So nation of Islam is not MuslimReader comment on item: Permit Muslim-only Enclaves? Submitted by Ted (United States), Jul 17, 2010 at 23:46 Dear Dr Pipes: Your reader Kushibo states that Nation of Islam is not Muslim. Well that is the modus operndi of the Islamists. As long as a sect serves their purpose (e.g in staking claims to land and property, in building political clout, in being disagreeable, and at the time of census), every one is a Muslim. And when the position taken by a group or person becomes inconvenient or difficult to defend (e.g when the perpetrator resorts to heinous violence), they cease to be muslims. Heads I win and tails you lose. Perfectly good ethics. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
