Hi Dan: You are completely correct in the first half. The second half is, unfortunately.wishful thinking. The decisive way he phrased his commitments will make it practically impossible to evade, especially if Bush is reelected. It is not just a tactical blunder. The whole world view it exposes is sickening. He accepts most of the concepts of the far Left, including that only Jews can and should be relocated but not Arabs (because the country is really theirs?). Maybe he reasonably expects that the Arabs will prove again that they will contnue their terrorist attacks and will give him excuses to weasel out . But he eliminated that option. Instead, he will "punish" them by withdrawing and removing Jewish communities which stand in the way of establishing an uninteruupted "Palestinian State." I can go on and on but it is too painful. In an article I just published in PERSPECTIVES entitled "Israel as a Beacon" I tell Israel's leaders that "you cannot have 'security' if you treat your homeland like a cheap rug in a bazaar." Keep up the good work
