Mistake in the BibleReader comment on item: Israel's Predicament at 60: World's worst neighbourhood Submitted by sTs (United Arab Emirates), May 23, 2008 at 00:00 I will start first by saying that John 10:30 states the follows John 10:30 I and my Father are one. It has nothing to do with worship, it means that I am coming with the same instructions from God, what ever God says I say unto you. This is what it means and here is the reference of Jesus being son of man Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 2) I will give you one example for now for you to ponder - Genesis 16:16 And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram. Genesis 17:25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Genesis 21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Genesis 21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac. Genesis 21:4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him. Genesis 21:5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. Genesis 21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned. Genesis 21:9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. Genesis 21:14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. Genesis 21:15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. Genesis 21:16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. Genesis 21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. Abraham was 86 when Ishmael was born - Ishmael was 13 when circumcised - Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born - so basically Ishmael was 14 years old when Isaac was born - Isaac was weaned (normally after two years) so Ishmael was 16 years old - Abraham put the bottle of water and the child on Hagar shoulder - then she cast the child - then she lift the child in her hand Was Ishmael a child then ? and was she able to carry a 16 years old man on her shoulder Forged history - don't you say ? Are you able to spot the mistake The sacrified was Ishmael the eldest son of Abraham and he was over 16 years old when it happend and when Isaac was merely a 2 years old baby. According to the Quran Abraham did not leave hagar go alone, he went with her to Mecca and left her there with Ishmael on God's commands (Not on Sarah's commands), but when Ishmael was a baby then and Isaac was not born yet. It was not Beersheba they went to, it was Mecca. And the water was from a well in Mecca called Zamzam until today since that time the spring is still flowing with pure water.
