I'm ashamed...

that this election has exposed so many Americans to be....racist (why, as a Southerner, am I surprised), ignorant (not surprised there) and scared (thanks to GWB). I refuse to watch or read what passes as "news" on the major networks.....it is gossip not news. And, I'm forsaking my WASP clan + my registered Republican status and voting for Obama. Why?

The US of A is falling....for the same socio-economic reasons the Roman Empire fell:

Social = Decline in Morals/Values + Political Corruption + Urban decay

Economic = Military Spending + Unemployment + Inflation + Public Health

Voters need to get a clue - I don't care if the best candidate is purple, pink or polka dotted - or if he/she/it is protestant, catholic, muslim, jewish, buddhist or agnostic....though I'll personally draw the line at polygamists. The only important thing is what the candidate will accomplish as our President. To vote otherwise is the equivalent of school yard game selection....oh, I forgot, news is at the fifth grade level.

I'm voting Obama b/c he is intelligent and might just be able to repair Bush*s carnage to our country. Also, his government will create change (unless it is already too late)....remember the laws of physics
