Holy Bible Declares That Almighty God, With Jesus Christ Confirming, IS the Father of Jesus Christ.Reader comment on item: Barack Obama's Muslim Childhood Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Sep 3, 2008 at 13:08 Let us assume for a moment that believing in Jesus Christ requires the faith testimony that Jesus Christ's conception in His mother was by action of the Holy Spirit, done so at the time of the angel Gabriel's pronouncement. This is by declaration of the Holy Bible; for the Biblical believer, it is so. Fascinating then, is that a follower of the Islamic Prophet appears willing to confirm a fact of the Holy Bible. Following that, but not quite in the same breath, the Islamic protégé reiterates that same old tired (it started from the beginning of the pregnancy of Jesus Christ's earth mother, started by Jewish unbelievers, by the way) argument that the Holy Bible, the inerrant Word of the LORD, is by his perception, faulted. One might suppose how it is, that if the Holy Bible is Jewish in its condition and everyone acknowledges it is so), that certain Jewish people would be so willing to repudiate the truth of their own Holy Scriptures, that when the Gospel, a truth of Jewish origins, finds as its earliest detractors their own people as unbelievers of their own truth as found in Jesus Christ. Such was the case as Jesus Christ opened His ministry, and the evil words and lies overflowed to try, if they could, to defame Him and His ministry. It is these same lies and defamation we hear from followers of Islam today, picking up where the discredited unbelievers of Judaism have already tried. Jesus Christ has as His Father, none other than Almighty God, Who in creative genius provided the means to enter into and temporarily exist in human form, in order to fulfill the prophecies regarding the Savior Anointed, the Holy One of Israel. The concept and its execution are supernatural in their origins, and as Isaiah 55 says, beyond normal human comprehension. This is why so many consider the situation incomprehensible and shocking-expressions of unbelief. It requires faith to go beyond the human limitation of understanding, faith in Jesus Christ as LORD. By your own argument, you have now come full circle and have caused your own contradiction. You and other have attempted to instill a sense of infallibility in the Quranic writings, saying that it is, in its original Arabic form, perfect. If that were a given, then any translation into another language, even for the supposed intent of clarification to non-Arabic speaking readers, would make the translation and interpretation subject to the introduction of inaccuracies you have inferred against the Hebrew Holy Scriptures. If the dedicated Arabic scholars say that the only true reading of the Quran is in Arabic and it is recognized that the structure and grammatical composition is very hard to translate into a non-Arabic language, then We may conclude any translations of the Quran are subject to human frailties as well. There is a confirmation for the disciples of Jesus Christ in that the Holy Spirit performed His intent to keep a pure understanding of His truth, no matter what language. One example is found in the Qumram scrolls, written in the local vernacular of the times and are found to be comparable to the accepted translations in use today. The power of the Holy Spirit is sought out to verify in the spirit the faith and belief of the Holy Bible today, no matter which version. You, and evidently others of a similar mindset, make a claim of Jesus Christ being ‘beloved' by you, that in your words He is not the same as us by not having a human father. Yet in other posts, you have made the statement that He is just a man, and cannot be God also. If not having a human father, and having Almighty God as His Father is not cause enough in faith to believe that Jesus Christ is the LORD, then the suggestion is to return to your original Quranic studies and find out why the Islamic Prophet could not make the connection either. You have made your own conclusions based on faulty human logic that you believe Jesus Christ was just a man, who as perceived by the Islamic Prophet was nothing more than that except to be a prophet, or do you? In the other vein of human logic, you make assertion that Jesus Christ, in complete contradiction to the normal assessment of human mortality, did not die. Did not the Islamic Prophet die and has a burial place in the land of Islam? Which is it? Either Jesus Christ is merely man, as the Jewish Chief rulers of the time, and you have asserted ("when Jesus was born from a woman only and He had/has no father."Aug 30, 2008 at 06:02), or He is, as the Holy Bible declares, the Son of the Living God, the Holy One of Israel, Almighty God being His Father, and the claim of His being equal with Him true.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
