I've worked and lived all over the world, including a few Islamic countries (and I've visited your Dubai). Here's a fact: Arab and Islamic countries grossly sensor the reading and viewing material that come into and is published in their countries. I know. Especially, and I mean a HUGE "especially," when it comes to Islam, Mohammed, and other religious material.

You can't find humor books by Shel Silverstein (a Jew) in the Muslim world, much less anything that has even the hint of criticizm of Islam or Mohammed. So I don't know how much of what you have read has been from outside the UAE or other Muslim countries, but I've read the English translation of the Koran and many other books on Mohammed and Islam. These books have been mostly from the West where there is free press and writers do not fear writing the truth...many braving the threats of fatwas ala Salman Rushdie and the Dutch cartoonists. Here are a few FACTS about your "peaceful" prophet:

1. Mohammed preached hatred of Jews and to even kill them where you find them. He orders you not to befriend Christians. Polythiests (like Hindis) are the worst and don't deserve to live at all.

2. He started his career as a caravan raider (before he became a warlord), stealing, robbing, and often killing those traders who were crossing the Arab Peninsula.

3. He ordered people who refused to convert or pay the dhimmi tax to be killed if they weren't useful as slaves.

4. He gave you permission to kidnap and rape the women of tribes you conquer along the way of your conquests.

5. He married a six-year-old little girl and bedded her down when she was only nine (by her own account). He was in his 50s, I believe, at the time. Muslims often tell us that by marrying Aisha along with several other wives Mohammed was showing us that ALL females are worthy of a prophet. Right.

6. He gave you permission to beat your wife if she's not obedient to you.

7. He waged war, attacking many Arab tribes who refuse to convert or worshipped "idols.". He was a warlord.

8. He allowed a woman accused of adultery (I believe it was) to live long enough to nurse her newborn, then had the child taken from her and had her stoned to death. Muslims often use this incident to show how compassionate he was, yet still just.

9. In war, he beheaded captive men, enslaved women and children, and let his men rape all the captive women they needed to satisfy their needs.

10. He told Muslims to wage war upon all other religions until the entire world "submits to Islam."

11. He gave the world the beautiful concept of "Jihad." We all suffer that lovely idea today.

12. He ordered that all children born to a Muslim father will be Muslim, and if any leave Islam, "Kill him."

I may be running out of space, so I'm stopping here though I could go on.

Bottom line, sTs: Your prophet was violent ... and today is the inspiration for about 99.5% of all the terror in the world.
