Barbarians with cell phones and computersReader comment on item: America's Desultory Religious Reporting Submitted by judy (Canada), Mar 30, 2009 at 21:22 my comment, as a teacher, on Janusz Kowalik's, Mar 29, 2009 15:15 comment is that there is no barbarian like the one who castigates peaceful religious people with spelling and vocabulary that savages the English language and introduces an imaginary reality...but, I digress... I guess if people repeat the idea that believers in miracles are dangerous often enough they begin to believe it. Sadly, the facts do not support this widespread and disgusting lie...... but if you must go on, Atheism , like other politically motivated 'religions' is equally indictable...USSR, Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung...atheism when immersed in poliltical ideology develops a propensity for violence equal to any other religion..so why is that you might ask? Because every organization is made up of PEOPLE. In the end, "People" , in fact, are the problem...we just keep trying to blame something else...but look at any family in any culture and country...there it is...somewhere...the violence...some among us just have to have their own way at any cost...and we blame it on religion...but it is inherent in man...evil...awful...man whose "heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it"...that is God's perspective. Most Evangelical Christian religious people I know have no faith in politics. They know politicians are only PEOPLE and are too busy trying to live holy lives. The people I know "hate every evil way" in themselves and others...they struggle every day to die to self...hardly the kind to have time for barbarity. Judy
