Grievance mongering and demanding characteristic of IslamReader comment on item: America's Desultory Religious Reporting Submitted by B.N.Gururaj (India), Apr 10, 2009 at 02:08 Islam intimidates non-muslims where it is in majority and reduces them to Dhimmitude. Where it is in minority, Islam resorts to grievance mongering and demanding. When the number is too small, the demands and grievances are of wailing nature and plaintive. Once the numbers gain, the demands and grievances become more assertive. When the numbers grow significantly, it resorts to gangsterism, rioting in the streets, attacking non-muslims. Non-muslim socieites generally yield to minor demands, such as foot-baths cited by Jaladhi. Gradually, it progresses to other demands, including job reservations, reservations in education, application of Sharia for their personal affairs and so on. Until 1937, in India, surprising as it may sound, many Muslim communities (Khojas and Kutch Memons in particular in Western India) were governed by Hindu personal law of Mitakshara! Islam sat lightly on them. But, in 1937, British Indian government enacted a law by which Sharia became applicable to Muslims' personal affairs. In fact, that was when the partition of India was complete in theory. What followed in 1946-47 was only completion of partition by metes and bounds. Therefore, Americans!, watchout, as you keep yielding to petty demands, in no time, you will find your selves carving out a Muslim district, a Muslim State and eventually a part of US territory! Heed the lessons from Indian history.
