Obituary...Reader comment on item: America's Desultory Religious Reporting Submitted by donvan (United States), May 7, 2009 at 10:24 So called "Journalists", are ,in fact, propagandists. Indoctrinated in the paper mills of American Academia, their greatest desire is to write the obituary of the United States Constitution. It would be a sophisticated article, of course. PhD's in Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and specialists in 'area studies' would lend their voices. "It served a worthwhile purpose, but now we have International Conventions, binding treaties, and a wider and more inclusive paradigm within the United Nations". "We will always be the United States of America, but the Constitution has become an obstacle to world peace and progress, since ammending is such a cumbersome process, better to let it slip into history." "After all, the Federal Government can much more effectively govern from the world stage simply by entering into binding agreements with the United Nations, and other nations. The masses, once called 'citizens' have already surrendered their so called "Rights" and "Freedoms" and "Liberty", and not so much as a peep.
