Sovereign or NotReader comment on item: U.S. to Israel: You Decide Nukes in Iran, We Decide Bedrooms in Jerusalem Submitted by Gilles and Elinore Mailhiot (Canada), Jul 8, 2009 at 19:42 It seems obvious to us that the word sovereign is very flexible in some circles. As a sovereign country you can do this but you cannot do that. It is like saying to your neighbour, you can bomb your neighbour over there but you cannot live in this section of your country!!!! Give us a break. As a people, never mind a country, the Israelis have the God-given right to live peacefully just as the Americans claim their God-given rights. How would it sit with Americans, if Canadians kept bombing the heck out of their border towns, disrupting their lives and killing their people. Somehow we don't think it would cut the mustard. Doesn't anyone have a brain in the United States anymore? Or is everyone a comedian? Submitting....
