The New Nuclear Cold WarReader comment on item: U.S. to Israel: You Decide Nukes in Iran, We Decide Bedrooms in Jerusalem Submitted by Stepehn Hughes (United States), Jul 23, 2009 at 00:36 In a day & age of asymmetrical warfare a nuclear umbrella over Israel means nothing. What of Hezbollah under an Iranian nuclear umbrella starts slamming Israel with some of Tehran's more advanced cruise and ballistic missiles ? What if there is a dirty bomb attack ? As Washington & Russia slide back into their cold war seats , there is a real danger Putin would offer a Russian Nuclear Umbrella, for Iran, what if China does also ? This is a very real possibly considering the billions in dollars they are investing in Iran. What about if Russia starts placing various types of advanced missile batteries on Iranian soil ? Or What if North Korea gets into a Nuclear pact with Iran? You also have to take into account Syria, who already has tried to build a nuclear weapons plant. It is a very real possibly that you could see , Iran , Syria, and Qatar in a nuclear alliance. Washington Officials seem so totally clueless about the Mid-east .
