Whiny PetulanceReader comment on item: U.S. to Israel: You Decide Nukes in Iran, We Decide Bedrooms in Jerusalem Submitted by dan (United States), Jul 14, 2009 at 05:18 Israel's sovereignty is swept aside when it comes to Jews building a new bedroom in eastern Jerusalem but respected when it comes to bombing Iran. Yes. This is because countries have the right to self-defense, but not the right to petty theft. Also, Israel is not our vassal, it is our client. The hundred billion+ we have lavished upon it over the last forty years gives us the right to politely request that it do that which it has repeatedly bound itself to do anyway. If this is too great an infringement of its sovereignty, it is welcome to return out money and go do as it pleases.
