This is a joined mail with two other friends whom I have just requested not to open it any more. I am in Syria writing under my real name. But since ideas are what matters, I think your hatred of Islam is useless if not groundless. Not because you lack justification(s) but because these justification(s) are based on your own world-view and value-system which cannot simply be shared by all the others. A better way for reaching agreement or disagreement, I think, is to open a dialogue free and unmarred by 4-letter words. Islam is not only a religion and an ideology, it is a whole social system. I lived in Asia and Europe. I do not claim I know everything about Islam or Christianity or philosophy of belief and disbelief. But strongly stress the significance of Human Life.

In the Qur'an there are verses that encourage fighting the mushrik and Kafir but that is an old context. There are now Muslim states like Turkey, Iran, Egypt, etc the societies there live according to Islamic laws, they also die according to Islamic death. They are, I mean the majority are simple people. Few are the terrorists. But let's define terrorism at large to include wars of aggression such as that of USA a gainst Iraq. We depend on Western media and google search engines to discover that that war was based on lies and more than million innocent iraqi including children were killed. Isn't that terrorism when the same Western media confirms that Iraq has no weapons of MD neither had he contact with Al-Qa'ida? If a suicide bomber sacrifice his own life in revenge of a rape or injustice done to his country, shalll we call him a terrorist. Is terrorism only of acts or of intentions and purposes. , I think the West has ignored details in this particular aspect. I myself couldn't understand why was it like that but we must ask pious Muslims who are not in the mood of blind prejudice to see why. I do not think the motive was only sexual because how could it be ethically and aesthetically acceptable or relishable to bed a child. Aisha must have been older or that the mentality of Arabs at that time was not discriminatory and young women could have had that as a norm! As an Arab I feel so furious at the distortions Saudi, Wahabis and other Arabs to to true Arabism. Najeeb mahfouz is an Arab writer and a noble prize winner, Obamas father is Muslim...there are so many ...millions of Muslims who cannot accept their cultural symbols to be insulted even under the name of freedom.

Think of the future: Either you put an end to Islamic world and people or accept their existence. If you cjhoose to accept them in their own environment, one must think of the possibility of cooperation, tourism to Egypt, Asia, Africa and to Mesopotamia to see Babylon, nineveh and taste Middle Eastern food and make friends. To insult a cultural symbol though an act made by the people, is short sighted. I cannot say other wise because this is how logic or my logic is set.Daniel Pipes opens this forum for exchange of views and spread tolerance but do you think that attacking other no matter what is their belief would antagonize them and self-betray the objectives of this forum. Being a Jew is being a human... Those are your children because children have no politics or ideology. If their parents turned them into hostile machines then everybody has the right to withstand them by peace or war.

another issue is that of Muslims in western europe, I particularly see that the majority who come there escape for their life. For example Somali, Iraqi, Afghan, Persians come to Europe and Europe has the power to refuse giving them humanitarian asylum. In other words, it is the West that welcomed refugees and no one imposed himself. It is the high ethical and moral standards of europe that provided a safe haven to many Asians, latin Americans and Africans from misery. If I accept someone how can I shift his world-view. the international and European conventions do not subsume a shift of personality and value system. On the contrary Europe respect all beliefs. It was only the politicization of culture for hegemony as what DP calls for serving his Zionist objectives that created all this hatred and rivalry. We are humans after all, living a short life and do not know what would come after. A Muslim man must be very comforted thinking of an afterlife...it is very human to feel with Goethe a brotherhood with birds and to imagine the world through Rilke or Mykovsky's eyes..But were those great minds and SOULS so full of hatred.

Going through your other comments I was disappointed and saddened indeed. I cannot even though dislike my Christian or non-Zionists Jews among my friends...It is a time for courage and truth and courage in telling the truth... You must accept the existence of these peaceful Nations, do not insult their cultural symbols or they would behve reciprocally with you whenever and wherever that is possible...: you cannot remove the Arabs from the Earth so stop this torrent of dispicable and savage hatred...Let's pray for USA troops to get all with their hooligans and Blackwater back to the Sates, Shaleet go to his family and the Palestinian prisoners go to their children...Celebrating peace needs courage the courage of Sadat not of Olmert and Yahud Barak and sites and minds like yours with a handful of hatemongers ...The courage to see well and say right. ...
