'prefer' implies informed choice and lack of subtle let alone, overt coercion though. So you're in a little bit of a dilemma.

Yes - as truly secular as Turkey demonstrably is.

Yet still we see muslims promulgating those same laws - because the Koran is 'perfect' and Muslims everywhere are still trying to emulate the life of the 'perfect man'. Better for you to tell this to those people affected by and living under this fundamental misunderstanding - rather than to try to make excuses for poor behaviour to bemused Westerners.

The point is - it is what they teach that counts.

If all the Islamic countries were somehow excised from the world - there would be no change to behaviour of the western countries. They do not seek to dominate or control the Islamic world. In fact - if you could just keep to yourselves - and let us keep to ourselves and don't try to impose your viewpoint or have your highly devoted but non-medicated devotees follow the mandate that your 'supreme religion' must cover the whole earth - then we would be quite happy

you forget Islamic imperialism - which it does follow,

It's not a religious war at all - agnostics, atheists and religious people share a common perception. That they do not want their cultures affected by barbarism. If there was another cult or philosophy that was as insidious as Islam - it, too would be opposed. That has been demonstrated in the past. We're not picking on islam for islam's sake.

They had 10 good long years in the 80's Iraq/Iran war to observe muslim on muslim bombs and other behaviour, remember. And currently still in Darfur, Pakistan , afghanistan etc

Greed knows no bounds and certainly that is the motivation behind globalism . It is supported by filthy rich arab sheiks as well as by western interests

They are cunning enough to make it appear that we have choice - so you should just limit it to - the same media, and internet control. 'They' are corporations interested in generating more money for themselves - so are interested in only those situations which will allow this. So population control means less consumers - why would they want that?

If anything - we do have more choice in food, media, entertainment, literature and everything else - as the free production of goods and services generates income for corporations. If they come out with a good product - people will buy it . Making more choice available leads to a rise in the middle classes - populaces who tend to expect - and get - more choice in their lives - including to expect more from their 'leaders' . If they don't get that they quickly realise that their 'leaders' are a basically egotists and a sham.
