I would not hire a woman who wears the Niqab or BurqaReader comment on item: Lorraine Ali, the Worst Political Reporter in America? Submitted by No Dhimmi (United States), Jun 13, 2010 at 01:12 I would not hire a woman who wore either the Niqab or Burqa. I believe it is important for an employer, co-workers, and customers to see who they are interacting with. I would not have a problem with a Muslima who wears the hijab. Just as Islamic countries have standards for what is acceptable or unacceptable dress, the societal norms in the West should be respected. If a Muslima does not like it, then there are any number of Islamic countries she can go to and work. There is a case where a Public School will a teacher who wears the Hijab was asked to remove it because it is considered a religious article. If standards are applied across the board, then there should be no exception. The hijab is a religious article.
