Reader comment on item: Lorraine Ali, the Worst Political Reporter in America?

Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Jun 13, 2010 at 08:32

Lorraine Ali doesn't sound like an journalist, the fact she blames the deaths of Iraq children on the west's blockade of Iraq is telling.

The government of Iraq was offered food and medicine, if it complied with the U.N., by allowing inspectors free range and for Iraq to stop being an islamic thug. During this time Saddam lived it up. He build palaces and he and the senior people in his group ate well.

She does not say this. She demonizes Israel and its leaders.

There are many people making many mistakes in the Middle East. You have written about errors on both sides of the issue of Israel and the islamic conflict. You have also commented on the good things people do, from both sides. She has not spoken bad about islamic people who make mistakes nor has she written about the good things that Israel people have done.

A reporter must be trustworthy and able to see all the sides of a problem.
