The inspiration for violent behavior of Moslems comes from their religion, so one has to seek ways to diminish it in it. Now the natural method to alienate them from Islam would be by making a Moslem commit something for which Islam itself will condemn him. One can use here such an infantile thing as pork. (Frankly, these food taboos are a strange part of "spirituality", aren't they, as it turns out that stomach=spirituality. ;) So the Moslems were made to ear pork and what ? Did the world come to an end ? Didn't Moslem violence decrease as a result in Uyghuristan diverting the extremely destructive energy of this faith to consume itself rather than kafirs who had bad luck to live next to Moslems ?

I would like the successful Chinese example of fighting jihad and Moslem barbarity by making Moslems raise pigs and eat pork to be adopted in all countries that have got any sizable Moslem minority. It could be even a good criterion of loyalty. If the host nation has respect for pigs and pork, then a guest population that rejects it has to look for a different location to spread its infantile prejudices and "values" and actions based on these "values".

> Is it not better that I let my Muslim neighbor know that the Gospel is not a club held over his head, but the gateway to true knowledge of God?<

Is it what you would say e.g. to Charles Martel or Leo III the Isaurian too? Why oppose Moslem aggression when you can just tell the Moslems that you're a religious person and won't resist them at all and they can conquer your land freely and peacefully, make your churches into mosques with your permission, abduct your children to their slave markets while you will be preaching that " the Gospel is not a club held over his head, but the gateway to true knowledge of God"?

The destruction of Eastern Christianity through Islam hasn't taught you any lesson whatsoever, has it ? If the Western Christianity dies the same or similar way the Eastern one did, I'd say that it will happen because of spreading such a suicidal worldview as yours.

By way of contrast, Islam is definitely a club held over our necks without any metaphor involved. Allah says :

" I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." (8.12)

" We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed. Their habitation is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrong-doers." (3.51)

" Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject faith fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan." (4.76)

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." (9.29)

And of course Moslems are forbidden to consider us kafirs as friends or even respect us .

"O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people." (5.51)

"O ye who believe! Truly the Pagans are unclean" (9.28)

"For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are those who reject Him" (8.55)

Interesting, isn't it ?

> Or, by the same token, am I to cheer when Buddhist or Daoist kin see a child lose an eye because of careless use of fireworks during an idolatrous ceremony?<

When I heard of an elderly lady who on leaving the evening church mass was driven over and killed by a car on the pedestrian crossing , not even a possibility to cheer occurred to my mind. Such lamentable accidents do happen whether the ceremony or action is "idolatrous" or not.

> Or throw bricks at my Jewish neighbors while forgetting my own sins on Good Friday? Is that what you think being "really Christian" is?<

I suspect that being Christian doesn't have to mean "being suicidal" and that when a Christian is confronted with so much lying and perfidy as Islam implies, then he can understand the situation perfectly well and respond to it rationally. His self-preservation instinct can guide him in his reaction to what he sees quite well. I find that Christianity is worth preserving and that it is not atheism or Marxism that are bent on exterminating it but Islam that historically has been by far the biggest killer of Christianity.

" Sure, I believe that some people are going to Hell, but where in Holy Writ, apart from the once-in-history commands to cleanse the land of the Canaanites (and I'm about 3000 years too late for that), am I to hurry anyone on his way to eternal condemnation? Please enlighten me. I've always thought that God expected us to pray for, present the Gospel to, and deal justly with our neighbors to help the Holy Spirit turn them in the other direction."

How can you turn thieves and gangsters armed to the teeth and bent on converting you to their evil ways or on enslaving or murdering you "in the other direction" ? Charles Martel and Leo III the Isaurian understood that and it is thanks to them that Christianity as such has survived. When Islam is confronted with people like you, it will -I am afraid - succeed in its final evil goal of conquering the world and creating the global Islamic hell on earth.

> But, what do I know? I'm just a stupid, backwards, ignorant Midwestern American Christian believer who's been reading the Bible for 30+ years in more than one language and hearing preaching. Yet, somehow, every Marxist who lets the dust settle so thick on his mother's Bible that you can write "damnation" in it, and who never enters a church except to disrupt an make bigoted remarks seems to believe he knows my religion better than I do.<

I have no comments on that. Sorry.
