Palestine?Reader comment on item: The Year the Arabs Discovered Palestine [Short version] Submitted by Michael Dar (Israel), Dec 12, 2011 at 00:05 The Arab's never talked about an exclusive, specific, different ethnic group or identity, There ambitions over the land was essentially pan Muslim and Pan Arabic not a matter of a Palestinian identity..which did not exist. There is not a single official document from the Ottoman period, League of Nations, British Mandate or early UN documents which mention a specific Palestinian people or nationality.. they for instance refered to Arab refugees from Palestine not Palestinians refugees. The Arabs when illegally occupying Judea, Samaria and Gaza never created that "Palestinian" state for the simple reason a separate Palestinian nationality never existed and was considered to be part of the bigger Muslim and Arab world.
