Yes, British passport- Palestine... Jews called themselves that!!!Reader comment on item: The Year the Arabs Discovered Palestine [Short version] Submitted by sara (United States), Dec 16, 2011 at 17:37 Honestly I may just go insane from frustration. The facts are distorted, the teachings are one sided and there is nothing that anyone can do to get through to these 'believers' no matter how many facts we present. I will try anyway: Palestina was named by Romans when the Jews were banished as punishment (though a substantial number of Jews remained in the area). The name Palestine for the ENTIRE region - including JORDAN was used by the ensuing conquering empires, the Ottomans and then the British. The Jews referred to themselves as Palestinians (and were recognized around the world in their writings, postage, etc. ) because there was NO OTHER ENTITY calling itself Palestinian. Look hard Slayhy and come back to me with PROOF that the term Palestinians was used to refer to the indigenous arabs in the region as a state before the 1967 war!! In fact, the indigenous arabs were under Jordanian jurisdiction before then, and they had NO problem with that... explain please.
