View of TurkeyReader comment on item: Predicting Middle Eastern Politics Submitted by Nazim (Egypt), Apr 22, 2012 at 17:49 Thank you. It very well may be, of course. However Turkey is a regional power now and I am as a Turk proud of it. I follow that you are silent on Iranian affairs and Turkish stance in it - which is beneficial to US and Israel, and it almost seem that would much prefer to team up with Iran at some point (impression I get) and have some quasi Anti-Turkish block of Israel Cyprus, Greece and Bulgaria. Well these plans are not going to lead anywhere , and hope that Natanyahu understands that. He better stay as he is and not make any wrong moves, like supporting PKK etc. Turkey is and will remain an American ally, despite Israeli effort. Plus I fail to see what benefit Israel gains being intransigent. However I see on streets of Cairo what benefits new Turkish policy brings personally. Why should we do any different? You can not get back into the same boat as times change.
