Real Ruler? Not for long.Reader comment on item: Egypt's Real Ruler: Mohamed Tantawi Submitted by Moshe (Israel), Jul 11, 2012 at 14:02 If anybody is worried about SCAF's holding the power in spite of the elections, he should look at what is at stake: either continuation of this corrupt, undemocratic, and unfair military rule, or a much worse and much more dangerous "democratic" radical Islamic reign. One only has to look to what happened to Iran after the overthrow of the "bad and undemocratic" rule of the Shah. And look how this misguided international pressure is flushing down Turkey into the gutters of radical Islamism. Is it hard to hold the Islamic Demon in its bottle? Maybe. But as things look now, every effort in this direction is justified and mandatory. Because we know the alternative!
