Only muslims can be 'experts' on islam

Muslims want us to believe that one must be a muslim to understand islam. One must practice this incredibly complicated, nuanced, cryptic religion under the guidance of a qualified islamic cleric to get it right. Somewhere amid the incoherent, contradictory prose, the qur'an states that only a believing muslim can 'see' or comprehend allah's magnificent message given to 'the best of people' via his messenger, muhammad. And allah, being an admittedly capricious deity, deliberately 'closed the eyes' of some poor souls, denying them the salvation only islam can provide.

When a non-muslim exposes islam's hideous underbelly, he is called an islamophobe, bigot, racist or an ignorant fool who cannot speak Arabic, which is also required to fully understand islam, and who has taken passages in the holy qur'an out of context. Non-muslim islamic apologists like Esposito and Karen Armstrong are welcomed with open arms because they present a completely fallacious version of islam and islamic history, one that is not threatening or frightening. Most muslims do not speak, read, or uinderstand Arabic so I guess they will never truly understand islam because so much is lost in transliteration, you know. But even if they don't understand one word of it, memorizing the qur'an in Arabic is a laudable deed.

Muslims must discredit islam's critics if their campaigns of lies and propaganda are to be successful. Theiy engage in grievance theater for imaginary or contrived offences of discrimination and 'hate' crimes. They demand special privileges to accomodate their 'religion' and play the victim card over trivial or non-existent offences. To be such a small 'minority' group in such a huge nation, islam and muslims receive ridiculously inflated attention in the news media, and have formed dozens, if not hundreds, of muslim advocacy groups to force the government and the public to notice them and their demands and imaginary grievances.. Intelligent people can see right through every dirty trick in their book. The muslim establishment in America will fight with every weapon available to them to keep the American people ignorant of the doctrine of islam and to convince Americans that they are persecuted victims of a racist, bigoted society. They are slick, clever, hypocrites with a very specific agenda and Dr. Pipes is right: Islam is not and has never been a religion of peace. One does not have to be a muslim to understand the obvious..
