No Surprise given the current climate in AmericaReader comment on item: When AIPAC Went AWOL Submitted by stanley b (United States), Mar 4, 2013 at 18:11 Given the voting behavior of U.S. Jews in the past few elections in massive support of Obama, it would make sense that all Jewish organizations would reflect this reality. There are too many people growing up in the comfort of the United States who have developed the luxurious liberal utopian wishful thinking. They are too removed from realities on the ground. These are the people who vote in elected officials and these are the people who attend AIPAC, J-Street and the like. The Jewish community is facing a conflict. Their democrat liberal social-justice identities vs. support for Israel, which seems easier and easier to frame as the oppressive right wing force. Not to mention that they are not comfortable opposing Obama and being called racists... Given Hagel's unhindered appointment, they have obviously made their choice.
