A glimmer of hope in this war ravaged region where internecine battles have reached new high levels.

Maybe the people will prevail over tyranny, but they are on their own, as the iranians were a few years ago.

Secularism is maybe not thriving ,but it is alive and trying to gain ground in line with its past history

in this important and powerful country.

As usual the inimitable Daniel Pipes has his sensitive and far seeing finger on the pulse of the middle east.
