Too bad we will likely never know what intel has spooked this spineless adminstration to such an extent that they would shut down so many embassies in the Muslim world for an extended period. Do they spend any time at all thinking of the consequences? Instead of acting on the intelligence and using it in some productive way, intelligence is now used for purposes of CYA and surrender only.

Second, what is the big deal for whomever is planning an attack? Just delay the plans for a week, simple.

Third, Why is it now the case, after 5 years of Obama policies of appeasement and cooperation with terrorists that we are in a much worse position of not being able to defend our embassies in Muslim lands? This has not happened since 911!

If we are no longer safe, we should just pull them all out permanently, cut off diplomatic relations (as they threaten to every second day) and cut off all aid and rebuilding, investments, charity work. Then we shall see who wants embassies and who will earn the trust. Must we bend over backwards AND be threatened at the same time?
