Dear Dr. PipesReader comment on item: Forget Syria, Target Iran Submitted by Debanjan Banerjee (India), Sep 10, 2013 at 02:38 Just recently Iranian president Dr. Rouhani congratulated the Jews world over for Rosh Hashannah . I believe it indicates a new approach from the Iranian side. See Israel with all it's might still have two significant enemies at her doorstep. 1. The familiar adversaries in Iran-Hamas-Hezbollah-Assad quartet. These people are rational actors and they are pro-Jew who are willing to live alongside the Jews. They may oppose Israel's domineering attitude but these countries are the last bastions for Jews in the region (particularly Iran which has a significant Jewish minority and a significant amount of her clerical leadership actually could be converted Jews.) 2. On the other hand you have the nihilist Al-Qadea type people. These people are controlled by the puppeteers in Riyadh and Doha and these people are already dreaming of a second holocaust. RT just showed a report whereby Syrian rebels are planning that they would launch a chemical strike in Israel in order to provoke Israel into attacking Syria and thus tie it down to a stalemate whereby thousands and thousands of Muslims from all over Europe and rest of the World would be willing to come and join the resultant insurgency at that case. So in my view considering Israel's predicament , I believe Israel should come up with a former detente with Iran. What do you believe on my views ? Take care Debanjan
