Very few 'Westeners' are in touch with reality of any kind it seems to me concerning the Middle East as they like to call it . The Arabs have been our obsession for decades because of Oil and advantages deals. Israel is not a reality for them , their arrogance is in thinking that because they want something it must happen and Jews are just an inconvenience are they not ? They have always been able to be moved, one way or another!!!
